Dr. gary j. lake, O.D.
Dr. Gary J. Lake graduated with honors from Ithaca College and then the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He has been licensed to practice Optometry in NY since 1989.
Among other things, Dr. Lake specializes in Low Vision Care, contact lenses and treatment and management of ocular diseases, as well as co-management of Lasik and PRK surgeries.
Dr. Lake has a large family, including his wife and 5 boys. He stays busy volunteering his time to several local Orange County youth sports leagues and spending time outdoors.
Sandy has been our Office Manager for over forty four years! She knows everything there is to know about this office and our doctors and keeps us up to date with all the newest things available in the optical field
Rosie has been with our practice for over thirty-three years. She will be one of the first friendly and understanding staff members you meet at our front desk.
Angel is one of our lab technicians. She has been with us for twenty-eight years and will help you choose the best options for you as well as do all repair work. She has been in the optical business since high school.
Erin has been with the office for five years and is another one of our lab technicians. Erin is an expert on the latest Optical fashion trends for you, as well as fits and dispenses corrective lenses.
Zak joined the practice in 2017 as an Optical Technician and Testing Specialist, after working as a Police Officer locally in Orange and Sullivan Counties. Zak is responsible for all patient testing ordered by the Doctor, as well as variety of duties related to areas of optical, mechanical, maintenance and functional operations of the office.
David has spent many years as a first responder and emergency medical technician-paramedic before joining Dr. Lake's Office as a Optical Technician!
After graduating with honors from Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelors in Biomedical Science in 2020, Trevor joined the practice in 2020 as an Optical Technician. Trevor's duties include scribing for patient exams, testing ordered by the doctor, and filling prescriptions for contact lens'. Trevor is planning on going to Optometry school and becoming an Optometrist in the near future.
